ChicagoFashionResource.com Launch Party

January 30, 2008

fashionresource-party-2.jpg

I had the pleasure of attending the launch party of ChicagoFashionResource.com at the Lumen nightclub in Chicago.  There were lots of fashionable types at the party including the lovely ladies pictured above. (check out those hats)  I took a few more pictures, I’ll post them on my website, DeaconDavid.com.  Now back to the party.  The food was provided by My Private Chef and Bon Bon Chicago and the vodka was provided by DiVine Vodka.  I met lots of great people including Nirvana from WGCI-FM, Brooke from the Chicago Office of Tourism, Jason from the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center, Lee from the Lee Allison Company, Lisette who has her own PR firm (connoisseurpr.com), Maryellen and Taylor.  I had a great time and I look forward to their next event.

He “also walked away from $400,000 per year he was to be paid under an agreement to serve as a consultant to the company following his retirement, and perks including the use of a private airplane.”

Kaka gives ‘Player of the Year’ trophy for church exhibition

January 4, 2008

I have to admit that I’m more familiar with Vince Young and Tom Brady than Kaka, but I have to give Kaka his props for keeping Christ and the church at the forefront of his life. I might even have to watch him the next time his team plays on television.
