Merry Christmas 2008

December 25, 2008

It’s Christmas morning 2008.  This is a joyful day.   It’s a day of celebration,  It’s the day that we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, my Lord and savior!  That alone is good news, but the fact that he still lives and still loves you and me is even better news.  But the best news is that he wants us all to have a personal relationship with him and share in his inheritance.  It doesn’t cost a thing, all you have to do is say that you want a personal relationship with him and invite him into your life.  Then you gotta believe, have faith, and seek him by reading and learning his holy word, (The Bible), and he will direct your path through the Holy Spirit that he promised all of us that love him (John 14:15-21).

Our country is going through some rough waters.  Unemployment is at an all time high. I’m even looking for work.  Our financial lives are in turmoil.  Our country is still at war.  The definition of marriage is being debated in the media.  However, there are some signs of hope.  We have CHANGE coming to the White House.  Gas prices have fallen back to a reasonable level; and I still believe that God will supply all of my needs.

Happy Birthday Jesus.  Thank you for loving me.  Please order my steps and help me take care of my family.  And help me do what is right and pleasing in your sight.  Amen.

Merry Christmas

December 25, 2007

gift

It’s Christmas morning and I am first of all thankful for another chance to celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ. I’m thankful for the gift of Jesus Christ. I’m thankful for the gift of the Holy Spirit. I’m thankful for the gift of eternal life. I’m thankful for a loving family. I’m thankful for a warm home. I’m thankful for a good job, a working car, and clothes to wear. I’m thankful for a reasonable portion of health and strength. I’m thankful for the ability to put these words together and being able to glorify God yet again. I know this kind of sounds like it should have been written on Thanksgiving, but hey, I’m thankful and it just happens to be Christmas day today. May you all be blessed and have a very Merry Christmas.
